Gary Nixon
I started teaching English as a foreign language n 1988 in Japan. I became a
teacher training in 2000 and have loved doing both ever since. I have trained
teachers in many countries, including Brazil, New York, Morocco, Dubai,
Georgia and Azerbaijan.
I have continued to learn from every teacher I come into contact with and have
used this to help to update my qualifcations, including my TEFLA and two
PGCEs in Education. These have enabled me to train teachers from many
different disciplines, from builders to accountants, in addition to English
language teachers.
For the last 3 years, I have been the main tutor on the ICELT courses at
Queen’s English and am very proud of the developments that have taken place
to the course. It is a high level, intensive course really tapered to the needs of
Russian teachers of English. Now CELTA will be supporting people in making  new relationships with English that keeps my passion for
training and teaching burning.
Gerald Bagge
I am Gerald.
I am British, but was born in Switzerland, so I love mountains and the sea in equal measure. I am still thrilled to come to Moscow every time I do.   It had been on my priority list for so many years, and fate took me over and via Moscow on the way to other places, including China, where I worked and  lived for seven years until the end of  April, 2019.
Meanwhile, I was educated in Switzerland and the UK. After a series of less satisfying jobs, I became an English teacher over thirty years ago: a decision I have never regretted. After completing my DELTA-D/TEFLA in Norwich, UK in 1993, I was trained to be a CELTA tutor at International House in Hastings, UK. Since then I have worked in many countries, including China, New Zealand and Canada. I am currently working on a Masters Programme on ELT Management, as well as materials design and enjoy balancing work and study.
In my spare time I love travelling (preferably by bicycle) and discovering new places. I have just spent two weeks in Scotland, exploring the castles and other historical sites between Edinburgh and Dundee. I am passionate about music and read a lot about the facts and fantasies of the world.

I am looking forward to meeting and working with you all. I will be running CELTA and Train the Trainer courses in Moscow.

Milena Khabarova
My teaching story goes back to my graduation day in 1992 when I became a specialist in teaching English with a diploma from Moscow State Linguistic University. That was the first time  I felt the responsibility of becoming a teacher.
Over the years, I have acquired not only  teaching experience but a growing responsibility as well. Very soon I realized that learning is more important than teaching and that was our starting point with our partnership with Cambridge.
Gaining CELTA, ICELT and then becoming a qualified Cambridge tutor were significant points in my teaching career at Queen's English.
Tyler Scharf
Hi, I am Tyler, Canadian. I am  a language skills coach and CELTA\ICELT  trainer based in Istanbul. I have mentored students between the ages of 4-64 from all walks of life in Ankara, Moscow, and Istanbul. My areas of specialization include learner skill training, motivation and learner mindsets, goal setting, autonomy, and fostering learner confidence.
As language is a tool that enables people to connect and collaborate with each other to share talents and skills, I create the teaching experience as one of continual learning.
I am currently spreading awareness about the culture of learning through my blog on learning strategies.
Hi. I am based in the Department of Quality Assurance and Improvement at Lewisham College London. I work as an improvement practitioner and a lecturer in Teacher Education. I have been teaching since 2006 and have taught ESOL, IELTS and EAP in further and higher education sectors in the UK and UAE. I am a CELTA trainer and I also teach on PGCE (Level 6 teacher training course) programme offered by Canterbury Christchurch University UK. I hold 2 MAs in English Language Teaching and Applied Linguistics, CELTA, DELTA, PGCE, TKT, and DTELLS (subject specialist Diploma in Teaching English). I am currently working on my doctorate and my research looks at the politics of quality improvement policies in Further Education. The key question that drives my research is how quality assurance and improvement policies, such as classroom observations, are linked to teaching practices. Last year, in July 2018, I presented my research paper at ARPCE international Conference at Oxford university. I will be coming to Moscow to run summer 2020 CELTA courses.
Galina Abramova
Hi, I’m Galina. I started teaching when I was a third year student of Moscow City Pedagogical University, which I graduated from in 2009. I work in MCPU as an Associate Professor and also as a teacher at the language school. I never stopped teaching even when I had a few attempts to work in an office as a manager and a translator for the Embassy of Ireland in Moscow. I’m crazy about English phonetics, pronunciation games and everything connected with the way the language sounds, that’s why I even did my PhD in Linguistics, specifically in sociophonetics.
Teaching is a lifelong learning process, so obtaining CELTA and DipTESOL is I guess only the beginning of my learning.
In my free time I love to experiment with different lesson procedures and tools to improve my students’ listening skills. If the first option is not available I unroll a yoga mat, go to the theatre or an art exhibition.
Kate Kizhner
Hello, my name is Kate and I am mad about teaching!

I graduated from Moscow State Linguistic University in 2012. Although my teaching experience dates back to 2009, I started treating a profession of teacher seriously only after my graduation. Since that time I’ve worked in different spheres from marketing to recruiting and in every organization where I worked they offered me a job of their corporate English teacher. I guess it is a part of my DNA. In August 2019 I took CELTA preparation course in Queen’s English and after getting my CELTA PASS B  this company has become the company where I plan to master my skills. English is a wonderful world full of amazing things and my job is to help you see them. Let’s get started!
Martin Nixon
Hi, I am Martin and I  run CELTA courses in Moscow.  I’m a freelance teacher and trainer of English as a foreign language. I started teaching English in Spain in 1988, and since then and I’ve worked in a wide range of countries in Europe, the Middle East and East Asia.  I became a CELTA trainer in 2006 and I’ve worked on CELTA courses in Italy,
Egypt, Libya, Dubai, Thailand, Vietnam and Singapore. I’ve also worked on courses for secondary school and university teachers in Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Egypt and Italy. My other area of teaching is as a business English trainer. I have taught workshops and longer courses on business writing, technical writing and presentation skills for NGOs, government departments, and corporations in industries such as banking, pharmaceuticals, petroleum and manufacturing. In addition to my work as a teacher and trainer, I am an examiner for several international language tests.
I  have CELTA, DELTA, a PhD in Art History, and outside English teaching and training I’m interested in architecture, art history and travel.
Liz Evans
I am Liz, who is excited about coming to Moscow to do CELTA courses with the Higher School of Linguistics.
What is great about being a CELTA trainer is helping rather nervous people, with no teaching experience, develop into people who can stand confidently in front of a class and deliver a fine lesson.   I am looking forward to coming to Moscow and working with you all.
I worked for the British Council in Sri Lankan for sixteen years, first as a classroom teacher but then I started to train teachers as well. I loved teacher training and went all over the country helping teachers.
When I became a CELTA trainer, I worked in other countries, such as India, Vietnam and Beirut but just for a month or so at a time. We moved back to the UK in 2013 and now I am very happy to carry on teacher training in different countries.
Jeremy Enns
For the past year and a half, I have been living in Moscow teaching English to a variety of corporate and elite clients. I am CELTA certified and have two university degrees in History (University of Winnipeg - Bachelors, University of Waterloo - Masters). Prior to my arrival in Moscow, I spent 11 years working as a Policy Analyst in the Government of Canada, mostly on immigration related issues. My teaching approach is student-centred and puts a heavy emphasis on communication; I always try to make lessons fun, entertaining, and interesting! The best thing about teaching in Moscow is the many fascinating people I have the privilege of working with. It is a joy getting to know my students and helping them achieve their language and professional goals!
Siobhan Kizilkaya
Hi. I am Siobhan, originally from the UK,  Irish, actually. I have lived and taught in Istanbul as  a freelance teacher trainer. I started teaching English over 20 years ago and I have taught in the UK, Belgium and more recently Turkey. I’ve been involved in Cambridge assessment since 2002, as an examiner and team leader. I have also worked as an examiner and examiner trainer for IELTS at the British Council.  I’ve been an CELTA/DELTA trainer since 2012. I am really looking forward to meeting everyone in Moscow.

Alexei Nesterenko
Hi. I am Alex. I have been with Queens English for as long as I remember myself. I did my ICELT and got my diploma in teaching and since that time I have been teaching different groups and levels. I am an actor as well and master my communication skills on stage and on TV so dont be surprised to see me in your favorate program on TV.
Natalia Kruchkova
Hi, I am Natalia, based in Moscow. I am a staff teacher in the Institute: Higher School of Linguistics. I graduated from Moscow State Linguistic University in the faculty of linguistics and intercultural communication in 2002, then spent about four years working in a business environment. Although the experience was very valuable, I came to realize that this was not my cup of tea and decided to try teaching. I was very much aware of the responsibility and challenge involved in this work, but the appeal was also very strong for me as I was convinced it suited my character better. Having taught English for some years i felt I wanted something new, so I completed a course in teaching Russian as a foreign language, which was an exciting experience of using English as a tool to teach my mother tongue to multinational groups of students from all over the world. I have experience in teaching English to both adults and teenagers. I have grown to love teaching. It is both rewarding and addictive to see your students achieving goals, making progress and broadening their horizons in general. It’s a mutually enriching process as I also learn a lot from my students in language, culture and in other spheres of life. I hold ICELT as an international Cambridge certificate.

Natalia Ochkurova
Hi, I am Natalia. English literally shapes my environment; I just can’t stop grasping all it suggests. Books, TV shows, and music are my daily musts. I am fascinated by the language, especially the colloquial one and the variety of colours and emotions that it expresses. I love sharing my ‘little discoveries’ with students. I have done ICELT, TKT modules, a Diploma in teaching English as a foreign language in Moscow Teachers’ Training University.  I love working with the language and teaching it to my students.
Cambridge ICELT course (tutor Gary Nixon).
Постоянно учусь новому и не останавливаюсь. Because you need to push yourself to achieve greatness.
Аджубей Вероника
I spent most of my life in Switzerland and London getting different degrees and life experience.  When I got my first degree, the Bachelor of Arts,  in the University of Geneva, Switzerland, in 2007, I thought that I would spend all my life in this field. And I did work in different businesses and Art galleries and was very proud of the time spent there.  In 2010 I  got my second degree, the Masters of Arts, in the University of Geneva, Switzerland, but life suddenly changed my plans and I have gone into teaching and to Moscow.
Working with Queen's English has been my learning and teaching experience as in 2015 I was qualified as a teacher of English getting a Cambridge ICELT   (In-service Certificate in English Language Teaching) and ever since I have been   enjoying my life even more.
