Gary Nixon
I started teaching English as a foreign language n 1988 in Japan. I became a teacher training in 2000 and have loved doing both ever since. I have trained teachers in many countries, including Brazil, New York, Morocco, Dubai, Georgia and Azerbaijan.
I have continued to learn from every teacher I come into contact with and have used this to help to update my qualifcations, including my TEFLA and two PGCEs in Education. These have enabled me to train teachers from many different disciplines, from builders to accountants, in addition to English language teachers.
For the last 3 years, I have been the main tutor on the ICELT courses at Queen’s English and am very proud of the developments that have taken place to the course. It is a high level, intensive course really tapered to the needs of Russian teachers of English. Now CELTA will be supporting people in making new relationships with English that keeps my passion for training and teaching burning.
